Daniel Chapman is a professor of Media Studies at Georgia Southern University. He has produced several documentary films to be used in classrooms. He loves how films promote both self reflection and cross cultural understanding. He is well practiced in bringing communities together in conversation.
Tomasz Warchol is a retired professor from Georgia Southern University. He started a film criticism program and a film club there. The film club has grown into CinemaSavannah, the largest and longest running film club in Savannah. He has long time experience with distribution houses for the kinds of films we will screen.
Michael Chaney is a film professor at SCAD who also has a long resume of experience in programming and leading discussions about films. He is a community leader, a local pastor, and has deep ties in Savannah.
Mentors/Advisors:
Christopher Escobar runs The Plaza Theater in Atlanta and wants to pay forward all the help he received when he took over The Plaza. In the 10 years he has run The Plaza he has raised the gross receipts twentyfold.
Patt Gunn is the head of The Susie King Taylor Center for Jubilee. She is a long time community organizer who most recently led the charge to change the name of Calhoun Square to Taylor Square. Her passion for connecting storytelling with social justice aligns with our mission of connecting people in conversation through the art of film.
Daniel Steinfeldt was born in Savannah and with his experience in food and beverage, he will advise us. He has deep knowledge about the logistics of running a service business and looks forward to serving in his role of advisor to the Bradley.
